DO I NEED A DIAGNOSIS TO SEE A PSYCHOLOGIST?
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to seek psychological support. People come to therapy for many reasons, including stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, emotional overwhelm, life transitions and personal growth. A psychologist can also help assess whether a clinical concern may be present when appropriate.

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?
A patient/ client has to book an appointment either online or by calling us.
The patient must reach 5-10minutes before the scheduled time.
When consulting our psychiatrist, the doctor shall take history in the 1st session and prescribe you medicines, if needed.
When opting for counseling, the first session will be an intake session where the counselor will take all your details and design a therapy plan for you.
CAN I CONSULT THE PSYCHIATRIST AND PSYCHOLOGIST AT THE SAME TIME?
Yes. Psychiatric care and psychological therapy can be used alongside each other when clinically appropriate. A psychiatrist may provide medical assessment and treatment, while a psychologist provides psychological assessment and/or psychotherapy. In some situations, working together can provide more comprehensive care.
WHAT IF THE CONSULTATION WITH THE PSYCHIATRIST TAKES MORE THAN 20 MINUTES?
The standard consultation duration is 20 minutes. If additional time is needed to understand your concerns or address your treatment needs, the consultation may extend beyond the scheduled duration.
Any applicable additional consultation charges will be communicated to you.
HOW FREQUENTLY DO I NEED THERAPY SESSIONS?
This varies from person to person. Sessions may initially be scheduled weekly or at another clinically appropriate frequency, depending on your concerns and goals. Frequency can be reviewed and adjusted as therapy progresses.
WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR THE FIRST THERAPY SESSION?
You don't need to prepare anything specific or have everything figured out before your first session.
It can be helpful to think about:
-
What brought you to therapy now?
-
What has been bothering you or affecting your day-to-day life?
-
How long you've been experiencing these concerns
-
What you'd like to understand, change or work on
-
Any previous therapy, psychiatric treatment or relevant medical history, if applicable.
You can also write down any questions you have for your therapist.
Most importantly, you don't need to know exactly what to say. Your therapist will guide the conversation and help you make sense of what you're experiencing.
WHAT IF I NEED MORE THAN 1 COUNSELING SESSION IN A WEEK?
The frequency of therapy sessions is decided based on your individual needs and discussed with your therapist. If you feel you would benefit from an additional session in the same week, you can discuss this with your therapist, who will assess whether an additional session would be appropriate and help schedule it based on availability.
WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL THE SESSION OR RESCHEDULE?
Scheduled sessions cannot be cancelled. However, you may request to reschedule your session, subject to availability and the applicable rescheduling policy.
Please get in touch with our team as soon as possible, and we will guide you through the process.
CAN I STOP THERAPY WHENEVER I WANT?
Yes. Therapy is a collaborative process, and you can discuss your decision to pause or end therapy with your psychologist at any point. When possible, it can be helpful to have a closing discussion so that progress, remaining concerns and any recommendations for continued support can be reviewed.
CAN I SHARE MY THERAPY PACKAGE WITH SOMEONE?
No. Therapy packages are individual and non-transferable and are intended for the client for whom the package was purchased.
An exception may apply when a session is specifically planned as a family or joint session with the therapist's agreement. Such sessions must be discussed and arranged in advance with your therapist.
